Quartz countertops are man-made or engineered surfaces. Many chose quartz as a result of its durability and (at times), more modern design. We use several quartz products with varying manufacturers in our kitchens, and each has its own set of challenges and benefits.
Quartz is typically rock or natural material ground up and poured into a resin or other binding substance. Newer color designs employ technology to mimic the striations that are coveted in natural marble.
